How to create custom email template in magento 2


Login in to Magento Admin

Go to Marketing -> Communications -> Email templates form Magento Navigation.

Now, click on Add New Template.

If you want to load default template than Select template and click on load template. After click in Template Information default content will be load.

You can add content on Template Content section and also give custom CSS that you can write on Template Styles.

You can see preview of your Email template by click on Preview Template.

And after all perfect Save Template.

For change Default Welcome Email (New customer)

Go to Stores -> configuration from Magento Navigation.

After that go to Customers -> Customer Configuration in that unchecked Use system value of Default Welcome Email and select your created custom template from drop box.

Save Configuration by click on Save Config button.

Now, Go to Customers section and click on Customer Configuration

Now, unchecked use system value check box and select Yes for enabled “Required Emails Confirmation”

After that click on Save Config

So , Finally you can see customer have to Verify Email address for registering on your stores.

Also , you can see customers on admin who has not verified email address.

For that go to Customers -> All Customers

and on the grid section data you can find “Confirmed email” Column.

We have created feature that allows to send E-Receipt from POS.

Lets check how it is working.
We have to enable this option `Prefer E-Receipt` in customer form.

To send receipt by email we need to enable this feature in POS Configuration form also.

Here, we can see this two feature that allow us to send email as well as update email for customer.

Once we click on `validate` button, then POS Order will be created and email address will be also updated in customer form.
